Privacy Policy

This Notice is relevant to anyone visiting Hyprmarkt’s websites or using Hyprmarkt’s mobile applications (the “Sites”), along with any other platforms owned or controlled by Hyprmarkt (the “Hyprmarkt Platforms”). For simplicity, we refer to the Sites and the Hyprmarkt Platforms collectively as the “Services.”

When engaging with the Services, you might come across various linked pages, blogs, features, and content (including, but not limited to, information, text, graphics, photos, user-generated item lists, comments, reviews, and other materials uploaded, downloaded, or linked to the Services) (referred to collectively as the “Content”).

Personal data related to our users (the “User” or “you”) that is provided to or collected by the Services is managed by Hyprmarkt LTD (a company registered in England and Wales with company number 07132083 and headquartered at The Minster Building, 7th Floor, 21 Mincing Lane, London EC3R 7AG) (“Hyprmarkt”, “we”, “our” or “us”). Under the General Data Protection Regulation (the “GDPR”), Hyprmarkt is designated as a “Controller” as per the GDPR’s definition (“Controller”).

What Does This Notice Cover?

This Notice outlines how Hyprmarkt handles personal data collected when you use the Services and/or engage with the Content. It provides details on what information we collect, the reasons for collecting it, and the choices available to you regarding your personal data.

What Information Does Hyprmarkt Collect, and How?

While you are not legally required to provide information to Hyprmarkt, certain details are necessary for us to effectively operate, including processing transactions. Your login credentials (email and username) help us personalize and enhance our services. By providing us with information, you consent to its collection and storage in accordance with this Privacy Notice and applicable laws and regulations.
a) Information You Provide to Us We gather and retain any information you input on the Services or provide to us through other means. This information may include your full name, email address, username, password, home and billing addresses, shipping address, details of transactions made on the Sites, and payment information (note that payment details are handled by our payment processors rather than stored by us).
b) Information Collected Automatically
i. Whenever you interact with our Sites or use any of our Services, we automatically gather and store certain information. This means that while you’re engaging with our Services, we may collect and record details about your usage, either directly or with the assistance of third-party services. For instance, we receive data such as your IP address, cookie information (detailed in our Cookie Policy), unique identifiers (like click IDs), and the specific pages you visit.
ii. We collect data on how frequently and how many users visit our Services, akin to how TV ratings track show viewership or music preference data. This aggregated data is used solely in a statistical context to help us understand usage patterns and enhance our Services. This information assists us in improving the content and making our Services more appealing to a wider audience, without identifying individual users.
iii. Additionally, we gather details about the devices you use to access our Services. This includes information about your device type, hardware model, operating system, and software.
c) E-mail Communications
When you open an email from us, if your email client supports it, we often receive a confirmation. This helps us understand how to tailor our emails to be more engaging and useful for you.
d) Location Information
If you use apps developed by us or our affiliates and have opted into location services, we may collect information about your location. This allows us to offer personalized content and location-based services, such as tailored search results. Most mobile devices provide options to disable location services. For details on what information your device shares with us, please review the policies of your device manufacturer or software provider.

What About Cookies?

We and our partners, affiliates, and service providers use technologies such as cookies, beacons, tags, and scripts. These are employed to analyze trends, manage the Sites, monitor user activity, and collect demographic information about our user base. We may receive reports on the use of these technologies both on an individual and aggregate basis.

Why Do We Collect Information?

We gather information to:

  • Operate and Enhance the Services: Improve and display Content effectively.
  • Maximize Your Experience: Enable features such as “Wish Lists” and optimize your use of the Services.
  • Facilitate Purchases: Process orders on the Sites when applicable.
  • Handle Payments: Manage transactions through third-party payment processors as needed.
  • Provide Product Recommendations: Suggest relevant products and help you keep track of your interests.
  • Personalize Your Experience: Tailor the Services and Hyprmarkt Sites to your preferences, which involves profiling under the GDPR.
  • Communicate Effectively: Provide updates about your orders, offer customer service, technical support, and gather feedback.
  • Promote Relevant Offers: Keep you informed about products, sales, services, and promotional opportunities.
  • Manage Your Account: Administer and update your account information if applicable.
  • Support Third-Party Services: Allow contractors and service providers to perform technical, logistical, or other necessary functions.
  • Conduct Research and Security: Investigate issues, troubleshoot, and protect against errors, misuse, fraud, or other illegal activities.
  • Ensure Compliance: Manage risk, adhere to laws and regulations, and meet legal and law enforcement requirements.
  • Generate Statistical Reports: Create aggregated reports that do not identify individual customers.

Where Will We Store Your Information?

To provide our Services, your information may be transferred and stored outside the European Economic Area (EEA). It might also be processed by staff or third-party service providers located outside the EEA, who are involved in fulfilling your requests, processing payments, and offering support. We will implement all necessary measures to ensure that your data is adequately protected by these third parties.

Sharing Information With Third Parties

We share your information solely as outlined in this Notice and ensure that any commercial entities with whom we share your data agree to maintain its confidentiality.

a) Hyprmarkt Partners

  • Purchasing on a Hyprmarkt Partner Website: When you choose a product, you might be redirected to a Hyprmarkt Partner’s site where you will be asked to enter additional personal information for the transaction. This information will be handled according to the Hyprmarkt Partner’s privacy policy.
  • Purchasing via Hyprmarkt’s Integrated Checkout (“Integrated Checkout”): For some products, you can complete your purchase directly on our Sites using our Integrated Checkout service. To facilitate these transactions, we will securely transfer your transaction details (such as your name and shipping address) to the relevant Hyprmarkt Partner. The data collected through Integrated Checkout will be managed in line with this Notice and the privacy policies of the Hyprmarkt Partners.

Please note: (i) Review the Hyprmarkt Partner’s privacy policy carefully before finalizing any transaction. (ii) The Hyprmarkt Partner is responsible for its own handling and sharing of your information.
Promotions: We may share your data with Hyprmarkt Partners for specific promotions and contests. Additional rules and conditions will apply and will be provided at the time of participation. Be sure to review these rules and conditions carefully.
Aggregate Information: We may also share aggregated, non-identifiable information with Hyprmarkt Partners about overall usage patterns on the Sites. This helps our partners enhance their services and improve your online experience. Individual identifiers will not be disclosed unless necessary to complete a transaction.
b) Payment Processors
For transactions completed via Integrated Checkout on our Sites, your payment information (e.g., credit or debit card details) will be processed by third-party payment processors like Klarna or Stripe.
Please note: (i) Review the third-party payment processor’s privacy policy before making a transaction through Integrated Checkout. (ii) The third-party payment processor is responsible for its own handling and sharing of your payment information.
c) Affiliate Networks
We share personal data with affiliate networks such as Rakuten (“Affiliate Network”) to engage in affiliate marketing activities. When the Affiliate Network collects and processes personal data for its purposes, it operates as an independent Controller. The Affiliate Network will handle your data in compliance with relevant data protection laws and fulfill its obligations as a Controller.
d) Advertisers
Advertisers and advertising networks might use automated technologies, such as cookies, to gather data about your activities on our Sites and other websites. This information is used to deliver advertisements that might interest you. For details on cookies and how to opt out of targeted or interest-based advertising cookies, please review our Cookie Policy.
e) Social Media and Other Platform Services
Information from Third-Party Social Media Services:
When you connect to our Sites via third-party platforms like Facebook, we may access your profile information, such as your name and email address. This could also include other data retained by the social media site, like content you’ve viewed or liked, and details about ads you’ve interacted with. We use this data to enhance your experience on our Sites and may share certain data, such as unique identifiers from your registration, with these platforms to synchronize your experience across different devices.
We occasionally collaborate with social media services like Facebook to create custom audiences for our partners. A custom audience is a group derived from a customer list for targeted advertising purposes. If we use a custom audience, we aggregate user information, like email addresses, and hash it before sharing with Facebook, ensuring the data is anonymized.
Additionally, we might work with Facebook to generate lookalike audiences. This involves creating an audience similar to an existing one by identifying common traits, which helps our partners target new users who are likely to be interested in our services.
We may also partner with platforms like Google to form audience groups from email addresses and retarget users across various advertising networks.
f) Analytics
We utilize the Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting feature and may share your information with analytics and search engine providers to enhance and optimize our Services.
g) Agents
We may engage other companies and individuals to perform tasks on our behalf and share your information with them only as needed to deliver products or services. Unless specified otherwise, these agents are not authorized to use the information beyond the scope of their assistance.
h) User Profiles and Other Information You Post
If available, User profile information, including your username, name, email address, and other details you provide (“User Submissions”), may be visible to other users of our Sites. This facilitates interaction and allows users to follow each other. Email addresses are used to manage User Submissions and facilitate communication. Be aware that any information you voluntarily share online (such as on discussion boards, messages, or reviews) becomes public and may be accessed, collected, and used by others. Images, captions, descriptions, and other content you post may be redistributed across the Internet and other media channels.
i) Compliance with Legal Requests
We may disclose your information to relevant third parties when we believe, in good faith, that it is necessary to: (i) adhere to legal obligations, regulations, or specific legal requests; (ii) enforce or uphold our terms of service and other agreements; or (iii) safeguard the rights, property, or safety of Hyprmarkt, our employees, users, or others. This could involve sharing information with other companies or organizations for purposes such as fraud prevention and credit risk management.
j) Corporate Transactions
In certain situations, we might acquire or sell assets. During these transactions, customer information often becomes part of the assets transferred. Similarly, if Hyprmarkt undergoes a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or asset sale, or if the company faces bankruptcy or closure, your information may be transferred to or acquired by another entity. Should such a transfer occur, the receiving entity may continue to use your information in accordance with this Notice.
k) Affiliates
We may share some or all of your information with our parent companies, subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other entities under common control with us.

Securing Your Information

We employ rigorous safeguards and security measures to protect the integrity and privacy of the information you provide, and to prevent unauthorized access. This includes encryption to guard against unauthorized use, pseudonymization, access controls, and firewalls.
Your information is hosted and stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud-based infrastructure in Ireland, which adheres to the ISO27001 standard. For details on AWS’s security measures, please visit: AWS Security. If you have concerns about the security levels provided by our cloud service provider, you may choose to limit the information you provide or refrain from using the Services. Payment transactions are encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
If you create a Hyprmarkt Account, your account information is protected by a password to ensure your privacy and security. It is important to protect your password and limit access to your account by signing out after use and securing your computer and browser. You are responsible for the security of your password and any activities conducted under it. We recommend using strong passwords (a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols). Hyprmarkt is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to adhere to these security practices.
Please be aware that internet transmission is not entirely secure. We cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted to our Services. Unauthorized access, hardware or software failures, and other factors may affect the security of user information. Any data transmission is at your own risk.

What About Links to Third-Party Websites?

Our Services may include links to external sites, such as those operated by Hyprmarkt Partners. Please note that Hyprmarkt is not responsible for the privacy practices or policies of these other sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any site you visit via these links. This Notice applies only to information collected through our Services.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as needed to provide the Services to you, and for as long as you maintain an active Hyprmarkt Account. Should you request deletion of your data, we will initiate a process to permanently remove it. Once this process starts, it cannot be undone, and the data will be irretrievably deleted. Any data not subject to deletion will be anonymized.
Hyprmarkt also gathers and retains usage data, metadata, and statistical information about how the Services are used, but this information is aggregated and anonymized.
